<strong>eBooks</strong> An eBook is an electronic version of a traditional printed books that ma be read using a personal computer, PC Tablet, SmartPhone, PC NotePads, NetBooks, iPads and eReaders or eBook Reader.
An eBook Reader can be either a software application for a PC, Tablet and SmartPhone or a eReading device such as the eReader or eBook Reader, such as the Nook eReader , Kobo eReader, Sony eReader, Kindle eReader.
Users of eReader traditionally purchase eBooks online as a downloadable file, downloading eBooks direct to either their PC’s, Tablets, SmartPhones or their eBook Reader. These eBooks are purchased from speciality online stores like Barnes and Noble, Sony eBooks Store, Kobo eBooks Store or Amazon’s eBook store.
There are many reputable eBook Stores online, usually eBook readers subscribe to memberships of these stores where the eBooks they have purchased are recorded in their library.
It is not necessary of use an eReader application or device to read an eBook, (some may be read as a PDF file), eBooks are popular as the user is able to use the integrated options of bookmarking pages, making notes, highlighting passages. In addition to these facilities, eReader may have a inbuilt dictionary and variable font sizes.
As eBooks go, the weight of the eReader is your only burden, you may have as many as 1,000 eBooks loaded, which will not increase the weight of the eReader.
Many eBooks may be downloaded for free or reduced prices, but you can expect to pay similar prices to latest release eBooks and Best seller eBooks.
With the eBook market growing, changes in technology has seen an increase in the variety of eBook formats and now the most common eBook formats are: ePub, (developed and the industry standard),ePub eBook format may be read on Kobo, Nook, Sony, BeBook, Bookeen, Cybook, Cool-er.
The only eBook Reading device that is not compatible with ePub eReader format is the Amazon Kindle range. So be aware, EPUB is not supported by kindle devices, Amazon sells eBooks in the KF8 and AZW formats.
